Hanna and Johan Olzon Åkerström, husband-and-wife entrepreneurs and co-founders of Soeder (www.soeder.ch), the leading Swiss brand bringing ecological excellence and sustainability to high-quality soap and personal care products. Hanna, Co-Founder, Co-CEO and Creative Director at Soeder, started her creative career studying architecture at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich, the city where she also practised as project lead, working across two architectural offices for several years. As well as Co-founder and Co-CEO of the company, Hanna is also the lead architect on all of Soeder’s locations, including their new flagship store at Zurich’s main train station and their new factory at Zurich-Altstetten’s former SBB repair halls, opening in Summer 2024. Johan, co-founder and co-CEO, demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit at sixteen, transforming his garage into a hub for selling snowboards. By 22, Johan had ascended to high-level management in Austria’s publishing scene. Relocating to Switzerland, he delved into the circular economy at Freitag, discovering the potential to offer sustainable consumer products on a grand scale. Today, Johan is the adept chemist, ensuring that all formulas align with Soeder’s values, that the ingredients are sourced responsibly and that the products are produced in-house.
