Microsoft Switzerland empowers every person and every organization in Switzerland to achieve more. The Swiss subsidiary of the American technology company was founded over 30 years ago and is nowadays an integral part of the Swiss economy and society. In close collaboration with its 4,600 partner organizations in Switzerland, Microsoft enables large corporations, SMEs, start-ups, schools and educational institutions as well as the public sector to respond, recover and re-imagine their businesses in these extraordinary and challenging times.
Since 2019, Microsoft Switzerland has been operating its own data centers, which enable customers to store data locally and securely in the Swiss Microsoft Cloud. And in cooperation with ETH Zurich and EPFL, Microsoft Switzerland conducts research and development in the Mixed Reality & AI Lab and in the Swiss Joint Research Center.
The 1000 employees work remotely or in Microsoft spaces in Zurich, Bern and Geneva. The company is led by an Executive Board, consisting of 13 members and Catrin Hinkel as Country General Manager. Together, Microsoft Switzerland is committed to advance Switzerland’s unique strengths through innovation, trust and education.
