Stefano Rizzi graduated in Business Economics at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, specializing in small and medium enterprises. After his studies he started working in the private sector as an auditor for Ernst & Young and as a social security consultant for SwissLife. Since July 2005 he has worked for the Public Administration of the Swiss Canton of Ticino. He began his career as a consultant for the Department of Economic Development and subsequently worked as a member of the executive team of the Department of Finance and Economics. Since 1 January 2012 he has been head of the Economics Division.
