Ennio Fontana
General Manager
Ennio Fontana was born in 1979 in Genova.
In 2004, after graduating in Business and Economics at the University of Passau in Germany, he immediately began his career as Sales Manager in Munich at Philipp Plein, where he obtained important result in terms of turnover with the launch and distribution of the first Fashion Collection.
Between 2005 and 2008, he moved to Dusseldorf to become Wholesale Director at Tod’s.
In 2009 he returned to Philipp Plein in Switzerland, as Sales Director, where he built the brand’s entire sales network, creating a line of shoes and accessories and managing to bring turnover from 4M in 2008 to 180M in 2015.
In 2016 he became General Manager of the Plein Group, which in the meantime was enriched by the brands Billionaire and Plein Sport.
For Billionaire (luxury menswear brand) of which he is a minority shareholder, he develops the business from 10M to 30M in 2018.
Under his direction, the Plein Group generated revenues of 260M, leading a team of 600 people.
In October 2020: Ennio Fontana is appointed General Manager at Roberto Cavalli. He is entrusted with the Brand’s relaunch strategy.
17 years of international work experience in the fashion industry have made him a great leader with strong commercial skills able to implement strategies of expansion and market strengthening.
