Born on September 24, 1985 in Bolzano, daughter of Heiner Oberrauch and Brigitte Andres, eldest of three siblings.
She loves to spend her free time in the mountains: whether mountaineering, ski touring, climbing or trekking – for Ruth it is relaxation and adventure at the same time. Above all, however, it is her own personal time out.
After studying in Verona and Innsbruck and gaining initial work experience in the Veneto region and in London, Ruth was initially responsible for marketing and later for HR at the Oberalp Group for several years. She further developed the company’s HR strategy and took the lead in various organizational changes and developments. At the same time, she built up the company’s CSR department and developed the sustainability strategy for the group. The sustainability team, which works hand-in-hand with all of the Group’s brands and product areas, continues to report to Ruth in her role as a member of the Oberalp Group Executive Board.
In 2019, Ruth began developing the new LaMunt brand, the first brand in the Oberalp Mountain Sports Group (which also includes SALEWA, DYNAFIT, Pomoca, Wild Country, and Evolv) to be built entirely “in-house.” Like all Oberalp Group brands, LaMunt has its core in the mountain sports segment, but is aimed exclusively at a female target group. With LaMunt offering a collection in stores for the first time this year, Ruth aims to inspire women to spend their own personal “me-time” in the mountains.
