Former CEO and Chair of the Bata Shoe Company, a global footwear company with over 5,000 stores in 70 countries. He is the grandson of Tomáš Baťa, the founder of the company 130 years ago. Participated on selected boards such as Coca Cola Beverages, the US National Retail Federation and as co-chairman for the Toronto Olympic bid.
