He spent 5 years with KPMG, strengthening his technical finance background. He then worked 5 years for the Imerys Group active in the Minerals industry. He joined as General Manager of the Belgian subsidiary and after 2 years took the global finance responsibility for the graphite division headquartered in Switzerland. He then spent 4 years with Covance in the Pharmaceutical industry. He was in charge of Finance for Europe and later also of Strategic Marketing globally for the Central Laboratory division.

He demonstrated his ability to restructure, revamp and build finance teams (up to 70 people) in various industries. He created financial services hubs supporting up to 8 subsidiaries. He was also able to manage teams and projects across cultures: in Asia (China and Taiwan), in the US and across Europe.
